We recently created this custom, curved, Perspex roof as part of a school building project.

We worked closely with this client to design and create a vine sculpture and a matching pair of wine racks to become the main feature in this space.

The wine racks were made using traditional mortice and tenon joinery.

We are seeking a recently trained fabricator, or someone wanting to learn a new skill to join our workshop in Co. Wicklow .

The successful candidate will receive full training and mentorship on all designs /projects from highly skilled craftsmen. Work will include blacksmithing/fabrication/restoration.

Due to the nature of the small team at the workshop the role will require a can-do attitude and the candidate must not be afraid to get stuck in with the task at hand, be enthusiastic and self-motivated. This role is suitable for someone with an eye for detail and the ability to achieve the excellent standards for which the workshop is well known.

Purpose of the Position:

Working alongside our highly skilled blacksmiths you will be trained in both traditional & modern methods.

Creative Ironworks is committed to expanding its operations & craftmanship, this new role creates an early opportunity to become part of the company’s long term growth and a positive, can-do attitude will lead to more responsibilities and professional challenges.

Duties / Responsibilities will include completing work on time, to specification, and to the agreed quality control standard. As well as, keeping the workshop presentable and safe.

Qualifications for the Position:

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the exceptional standards.

· Good levels of concentration.

· Proactive and self-motivated, willing to actively contribute to the team and take initiative when necessary.

· An enthusiasm for blacksmithing / fabrication & restoration,willingness to learn and develop new skills.

· Takes a safety conscious approach to work with an understanding of the safe use of workshop machinery, hand and air tools.

Hours of work:

· Monday – Thursday 9am -5pm

· extra hours if desired
