So a bit more news as a lot of people that ordered windows in last few weeks are feeling hard done by so as far as I can gather they will cover any jobs that meet the requirements

As many have heard on radio this morning the government have eventually allowed windows and doors be done with the help of grants. 4k for windows 800 per door 2 doors max. That's for detached it's unfortunately 3000 for semi detached and only 1800 for mid terrace and 1500 for appartments It's a nice helping hand with not 2 many Regulation. It used to be that it was last on the list now it's just on the list as stand alone. So if thinking about windows go to SEAI apply for windows and doors. I believe a ber rating needs to be achieved so if you all ready have a BER check the rating against SEAI see what's needed. In most cases it should all ready be above the rating needed so grant will be paid on these but if no BER Has been done it will need to be done to see what's needed to reach the requirements. They might say u need attic and walls done along side windows which there is also a grant for. Thus will go a long way on standard 3 bed to breaking the back on cost of windows.
