Great progress continues at Townmore’s development in Coosan, Athlone.

Construction on the 45-home development commenced earlier this year and the site is now taking shape, with 33 homes already standing.

There is plenty happening across the site as the project moves through its various stages of construction - from block laying and excavation works to timber frame and roof installation, alongside snagging and finishing works on homes further along in the build.

Activity continues across all areas of the site, with multiple stages of construction progressing as the development takes shape.

It’s great to see the progress being made by our site team and project partners as we continue to deliver these new homes in Athlone. We look forward to sharing more progress from Coosan over the coming months.

Townmore was delighted to present University of Limerick placement student Malachy Flaherty with a certificate confirming his place on our Graduate Programme.

Over the past few months, Malachy has gained practical experience across a number of our Dublin sites, working alongside and learning from Townmore’s experienced project teams.

Our two-year Graduate Programme combines hands-on project experience with formal mentoring and CPD opportunities, giving graduates the support, technical knowledge and real-world exposure needed to build strong foundations for their careers.

Pictured with Malachy is PJ Brennan, Site Manager at our James Street project, who has supported Malachy during his time on site.

Work continues to progress well at Townmore’s James Street project, with the final concrete pour completed late last week.

This marks another important step for the team following the successful topping out of the building six weeks ahead of programme. With the main structure now complete, activity is increasingly focused on the interior works and the next phase of delivery.

The progress achieved reflects the detailed planning, coordination and collaboration of our site team, contractors and supply chain partners. The use of modern methods of construction and precast elements has also played an important role in maintaining momentum across the project.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for their continued hard work and commitment to delivering the project safely and to a high standard.

Townmore marked a major milestone at James Street as the final precast element was lowered into position, officially topping out the building.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from the client team, funding partners, our head office staff, contractors and the wider project team to celebrate the occasion.

Managing Director James Godley gave an overview of the project, thanking everyone for their contribution and spoke about the significance of topping-out ceremonies in recognising the collective effort behind a building’s progress.

Safety, quality and collaboration were highlighted throughout the day. Townmore H&S Manager Dualta Conway discussed the role of modern methods of construction on the project, along with the learning and investment that have supported the process.

A representative from O’Reilly’s Precast also spoke about the strong relationship between Townmore and O’Reilly’s, developed through more than seven years of working together across a range of projects.

Through collaboration, planning and using modern methods of construction, the team reached this milestone 6 weeks ahead of programme. With the structure complete, our focus now moves to the next phase of delivery as our interior works progress.

A huge thank you to everyone whose hard work and commitment have brought the project to this stage.
