LCA SetGrid Sustainable Power

Nice to see two Swifts perched peacefully together 😀

These units are catching an autumn recharge from the static solar array after providing uninterrupted power to a home renivation project.

At 3.6kw they are perfect for site charging of batteries and with enough in reserve to power 110v transformers and power tools.

We have portable solar panels which means they can be set up in minutes to power your project without worrying about grid connections of any form.

Perfect for events, projects or productions.

We're working on something a bit similar but a bit different at the moment.

This is a 10.2kw inverter which will be supplied with 100% free, off grid solar power from a 14 panel array (up to 9kw of generated power) backed up by 2x 15kw batteries linked in series.

This is a substantial off grid system with up to 7 days of bad weather buffer for the household.

The system is designed to be an island with no connection to the national grid. No buying or selling of power, just an autonomous household..

The strength of the system is the redundancy which comes from a 5kw windturbine and failsafe, last resort 7.5kw diesel generator.

Our GOAT providing back up power on a short film being shot in the beautiful West of Ireland this weekend.

Plenty of power for charging Astera Titan & Helios tubes as well as crew radios to keep the lighting show on the road.

⚡ LCA ENERGY ROUND-UP

This week, the battery-storage story gets very close to home.

A 170 MW / 680 MWh battery project in County Kerry has been acquired by Capital Dynamics. The Knockanure project already has planning permission and is expected to be one of Ireland's first long-duration energy-storage projects.

Meanwhile, the UK has launched a £28 million programme to develop technologies capable of storing clean electricity for 100 hours or more.

And battery storage is increasingly moving beyond enormous grid projects.

UK households are installing solar and batteries at record levels, while Scottish Water is combining almost 2,000 solar panels with battery storage to meet around half of the electricity demand at one wastewater facility.

The message is becoming clear:
Energy storage is no longer simply backup power.
It's becoming part of the way we generate, manage and consume electricity.

And the same principle applies on a construction site, renovation project, film set or event.

You don't necessarily need more generation.

You need to use the energy you have more intelligently.

🔋 Charge
📦 Store
⚡ Deploy

That's where battery-powered temporary power has a role to play.

Cleaner. Quieter. Smarter.

That's the direction we're heading at LCA SetGrid Power.

🌱 MAKE TEMPORARY POWER PART OF YOUR SUSTAINABILITY PLAN.

Sustainability isn't just about the materials you use or the energy efficiency of the finished building.

It starts on site.

🔋 Hire the GOAT battery generator from LCA SetGrid Power and take a smarter approach to temporary power.

The GOAT delivers 5kW continuous power with 4.8kWh of battery storage, providing clean, quiet power for tools, lighting, site offices and equipment.

Why does that matter?

🌱 Zero on-site emissions during battery operation
🔇 Almost silent operation — ideal for residential areas and sound-sensitive locations
☀️ Solar charging capability — integrate renewable energy into your temporary power setup
⛽ Reduce generator runtime and fuel use when used alongside conventional generation
♻️ 6,000-cycle LiFePO₄ battery technology designed for repeated use
For a renovation, self-build, construction project or production, the question isn't simply:

"How do we power the site?"

It's:

"How can we power the site more sustainably?"

That's where the GOAT comes in.
