As someone living and working with Parkinson’s and trying my best not to allow it define me!
Why do they not tell us or discuss the pain associated with Parkinson!

Doctors and informational guides often fail to emphasize pain in Parkinson's disease because the condition is historically viewed as a movement disorder defined by tremors and stiffness, rather than a sensory one. Additionally, pain takes many confusing forms and patients often do not realize it is tied to the disease.
Medical training historically highlights motor signs like shaking and slow movement over hidden non-motor issues.
Pain from Parkinson's mimics common joint or back problems, making it hard to prove it is caused by the brain.
Up to 40% of patients do not mention their discomfort because they assume it is just normal aging or unrelated to their diagnosis.
Severe stiffness, Painful involuntary muscle cramps often gripping the feet or calves, mostly at night.
Burning, tingling, or shooting nerve sensations down the limbs.
