Julies Bio:
My name is Julie and I create unique coastal pieces using a variety of shells, along with rocks and other treasures gathered from the shoreline.
There is something calming and peaceful about working with natural, tactile materials β€” slowing down, handling each piece, noticing its texture and form, and allowing the creative process to quiet my mind.
I enjoy giving these natural treasures a new life, while allowing its shape, texture, imperfections and natural beauty to remain part of the finished work.

Next weekend (Sept. 5th & 6th) sees the last of my Open Garden & Art Exhibition events, at Green Road Gardens for 2026.
Last, but but not least ......... we are finishing up with a great line-up of very diverse artists.
The first of these is photographer Liam Ryan ...... who really needs no introduction.
I feel privilaged that Liam has finally agreed to exhibit some of his stunning work here ......... it took a bit of convincing πŸ˜€
Liam , almost singly-handedly, documents all the goings on in the whole parish of Fethard and far beyond.
However, this exhibition showcases his love of the the natural world, where he captureds some stunning shots of the stuff we are often too busy to see. His love of the nature is very evident in his pieces.
Liams Bio:
Liam Ryan is a beef and sheep farmer in Fethard on Sea and is the editor of On the Hook parish magazine. He is widely published, in all things historical. He combines his photography skills with his farming and manages to capture stunning images of rare birds which visit his farm. He is also very passionate about the value of hedgerows and continues to improve biodiversity by planting trees into hedgerows and has reduced the usage of chemicals on his farm.
Open from 10am - 5pm. Eircode Y34WV91
Tea/cake included in the €10 enterance fee.

It has been a long time since I had so much wholesome dirty fun. πŸ˜„πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ
Spent the weekend 'building and sculpting in clay' with an absolutely lovely bunch of people. We sieved, mixed, and danced on the cob until it was fit for building. and sculpting. Went to bed with clay between my toes .... too tired to shower. A wonderful weekend all round. Loads achieved, loads more to do. A selection of photos, more to follow.

'Building & Sculpting with Clay'' workshop here next weekend .... Aug 22nd and 23rd. Check out all the details on www.greenroadgardens.ie.
