The existing metal roof sheeting was removed, allowing us to properly assess and prepare the roof underneath before completing the new system.

This 70m² flat roof was in poor condition and no insulation installed in the original roof build-up.

🔨 Another Flat Roof Successfully Rebuilt & Waterproofed

This project is a great example of why it’s important to investigate the root cause of a problem rather than simply replacing what’s visible.

We were originally called out to replace the fascia, soffit and guttering. However, once we removed the fascia, it became clear that the timber was severely rotten.

Further investigation revealed the real issue which was a failing flat roof that had multiple layers of old torch-on felt, patch repairs carried out over the years, and water had been finding its way into the roof structure for quite some time.

Rather than covering over the problem, we:
✔️ Stripped the roof back to the deck
✔️ Re-decked with new 18mm OSB
✔️ Applied our Lava 20 waterproofing system
✔️ Left the customer with a long-lasting, watertight roof ready for the new roofline installation

Sometimes the cheapest repair ends up being the most expensive in the long run. Finding the cause of the problem and fixing it properly is always the best investment.
