Another great project completed for Paddy and Jason Keogh from the Central Bar! 🎨
It was great to come back and do more work for the lads, and even better to get the call to repaint the old bike shop for them.
The last time I painted the old bike shop was back in 2014. I even did the roof back then… although I’m not sure it would be the best idea for me to go up there this time around! 😂 I’ve put on a few pounds since then!
It’s also great to see them supporting a local Irish trade with over 20 years’ experience. 🇮🇪
Paddy does a brilliant job keeping a small bit of history alive with the old bike shop front window display. So many of us remember going there to get our first bike. 🚲
It was great chatting to people from all over the place while doing the job and hearing their memories of getting their first bikes there — and even a few stories about getting a Honda 50 from Pat Reidy and Johnny Reidy!
I spent a lot of my childhood in that shop myself, so it was a really nice job to come back and do.
If you’re passing through Maiden Street, go and have a look at the old bike shop front — and while you’re there, call into the Central Bar for a nice cold drink! 🍻
A big thanks to Crown Paints in Newcastle West for once again supplying the paint and mixing all the colours to my order. It’s great to be able to keep things local and support local suppliers whenever possible. 🇮🇪🎨
Also, thanks to Tadgh O’Connor’s for some of the supplies.
