In my life, I could hardly imagine a day when the whole world would come to a standstill after receiving a phone call — my son had been in an accident, and his life was in critical condition.
This is how I found myself in London, a city I had always dreamed of visiting, as I deeply admire this country’s architecture. Sadly, this journey became the most painful one of my life. With prayer, faith, and the support of loved ones, I have been visiting my son for the third month now. He was brutally beaten and suffered a very severe traumatic brain injury.
Darius is unable to speak, can barely open his eyes, part of his skull has been removed, and he has sustained multiple internal organ injuries. Yet faith remains — it is my guide and my strength each day.
Darius needs to continue long-term rehabilitation treatment. At this stage, when his life is no longer in immediate danger, returning to Lithuania is only possible by a specialized medical aircraft equipped with emergency medical support. Unfortunately, we are unable to manage this on our own, so we are sincerely asking for your help in raising the necessary funds.
