Today we’re taking a look back at our recently completed project, Brook Green. We are proud to have delivered the transformation of a 1930s commercial building at Brook Green, Hammersmith, into approximately 15,500 sq m of modern Category A office space, achieving BREEAM Excellent.
Situated in a busy West London location, surrounded by residential properties, commercial buildings and a school, this technically challenging project required meticulous planning, innovative engineering and carefully coordinated logistics.
The redevelopment involved:
• Extensive 'cut and carve' demolition and structural alterations to the existing building.
• Construction of two additional upper floors and a five-storey rear extension with landscaped terraces.
• High-quality Cat A office accommodation, contemporary reception areas and breakout spaces.
• Premium End of Journey facilities, including cycle storage, showers and changing rooms.
• Energy-efficient building services incorporating air source and water source heat pumps, rooftop solar PV and intelligent lighting controls.
Working closely with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, our team implemented a carefully planned logistics strategy, including a dedicated daytime unloading lane, first-floor gantry, hoist and tower crane to overcome the constraints of the surrounding urban environment.
The finished building successfully blends its original architectural character with modern design, sustainable technology and high-quality finishes.
