This Thursday at 11am, I’m looking forward to being with Truagh Spirit at St. Mellans 💚

I’ll be sharing the journey of how The Flower Lane began — from a simple love of growing to becoming a flower farmer, working with the seasons, the soil, and the slow beauty of nature 🌸

On the day, I’ll also be sharing some of my favourite gardening tips to help you grow with confidence at home 🌱

And to celebrate the season, I’ll be demonstrating how to create a beautiful Easter/Spring wreath — full of seasonal charm 🌷✨
One lucky patron will even get to take it home!👏

Spent the afternoon with the loveliest group of ladies getting creative and making the most beautiful wreaths 🌿 From lush foliage to dried flowers, delicate seed heads and even the odd cheeky faux egg 🥚 — every single one turned out so unique and full of personality!

Thank you all so much for coming along — I loved hosting this workshop and hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did 💛

Now I can’t wait to see your creations taking pride of place on your doors… so don’t be shy, send me your photos! 📸🌸

🌱✨ Now is the perfect time to lift clumps of common snowdrops Galanthus nivalis✨🌱

Lifting “in the green” is the best way to divide and replant them around the garden 🌿

Simply lift, gently divide the bulbs, and replant individually or in groups of 2–3.

Let the green foliage die back naturally — it will give energy for the bulbs to grow next year🤍

And of course… they’re perfect for sharing!

The last day of January '26.... A wee stretch in the evenings & the dark days will soon be over..
I picked a few stems Galanthus nivalis. ..the humble snowdrop to brighten up my dresser!

Last day of 2025 ❄️
Sharp frost, blue skies — cold but dry and perfect for a bit of pottering about… especially in my new hat 🧢😉

Cut back some lower beech branches to let the snowdrops shine — they’re well up now 🌱🤍

Then the question… what to do with lots of beech branches that hang onto their leaves? 🤔
Answer: a wreath! A bit wild, a bit oversized, but now proudly hanging on the gable end of my wee greenhouse 🌿

It even motivated me to give the inside a tidy (small wins!)

The last workshop of the year took place at the Woman’s Collective Monaghan and what a lovely group to finish on. The ladies took on the festive table arrangement challenge using gold and silver pots, each filled with a little pillow of chicken wire to keep everything perfectly in place.

With a mix of seasonal greenery, dried flowers, seed heads, pine cones, cinnamon sticks and dried oranges etc they ladies put together some really lovely arragements! e 🎄🤍
