A while back, a client got in touch from abroad.
He'd come into his aunt's house in Tralee, a house that had been in the family for years and was beginning to slip. He wanted it brought back to life. Not modernised out of recognition. Brought back.
He visited a couple of times during the project. Most of the work happened while he was at home, on the other side of his own life.
The strip-out, the wiring, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the windows, the final paint, all managed week by week from our end, with him kept in the loop the whole way through.
This is the kitchen on the day we handed it back.
A house that meant something to a family, given another generation.
