Big bungalow and office/garage in county Waterford poured this week, 5 corner windows and a few internal walls. 46m3 in one pour. It certainly was the “sunny south east” while on site. Let’s hope it’s like this when we’re back to do the gables in a few weeks.

I get asked all the time how to fix items externally onto an ICF wall with a finished render. I like the “FID 50” manufactured by Fischer. I source these off masonry fixings in Dublin. Simply
screw in through the render using a torx bit and then use a 40mm stainless steel screw to fix downpipes to the ICF wall.

ICF walls getting chased for wiring, hot knife cuts through it like butter making it a fast and clean way of chasing walls, electricians love it.

Some indoor work today out of the rain, laying two 100mm layers of EPS insulation on a subfloor ready for liquid screed. No need for vertical insulation against ICF perimeter walls which saves some time.

A recent concrete pour of ICF ground floor walls of a two-storey house and garage.This was ready for pour after just 5days on site. Very happy clients in Galway.....
