KM Roofing & Flooring Ltd are back with another neat Defender Jaws® installation for their entry to our August Installer of the Month 👏🐦

Once again, the team have used Jaws® to create a secure barrier around the outside of the solar panel array, helping to prevent pigeons from gaining access to the sheltered space underneath.

Each section locks directly onto compatible 30 mm or 35 mm solar panel frames, with no mesh, glue or separate clips required. The pieces can be trimmed by hand and adjusted around corners and mounting brackets, helping the installer achieve a close and tidy fit around the whole array.

A properly fitted barrier is important because even a small opening can be enough for a determined pigeon to find its way back underneath. KM Roofing & Flooring Ltd have made sure the edges and corners are securely protected, leaving the birds looking for somewhere else to settle.

Another super July Installer of the Month entry, this time from KM Roofing & Flooring Ltd in Kilkenny, Ireland 👏🐦

They have completed a lovely Defender Jaws® installation around this solar panel array, creating a neat and secure barrier to stop pigeons gaining access underneath.

The flat roof tiles made this a particularly straightforward job. No cutting or trimming was needed, with Defender Jaws® simply locking directly onto the compatible 30 mm or 35 mm solar panel frames. The photos show just how neatly the strips meet around the corners, giving the full perimeter a really tidy finish.

There is even a photo of one rather disappointed pigeon inspecting the finished work and discovering that its former hideaway is officially closed. 👀🐦

Pigeons beneath solar panels can cause noise, fouling and a build up of nesting materials, which may block gutters and drainage points. They can also damage wiring and create an unhygienic mess around the property, so preventing access early can save homeowners a great deal of trouble.
