Construction Industry Federation Safety Week: Back to Basics
Frontline Workers – Everyone has a voice

The people working on our construction sites play a vital role in maintaining safe working environments. Their experience, awareness and willingness to raise concerns can help identify potential risks and prevent incidents before they happen.

Through regular toolbox talks and open communication on site, we encourage a shared approach to safety, where everyone understands their responsibilities and feels able to speak up.

Construction Industry Federation Safety Week: Back to Basics
Critical Risks – Planning and Prevention

Identifying and managing risks before work even begins is fundamental to maintaining safe working environments, especially in Construction.

Toolbox talks, Risk Assessments, site inductions and regular site inspections form an important starting point of our approach to health and safety, helping to ensure that potential hazards are identified, risks are understood and appropriate measures are in place.

It is critical to get the basics right, every day.

We look forward to seeing the festival come to life in January and wish everyone involved the very best with the preparations!

Construction Industry Federation Safety Week: Back to Basics
Health & Wellbeing – Safety includes looking after people

Health and safety in construction extends beyond physical safety. It is important to foster a culture where people feel supported, comfortable speaking up and able to look out for one another.

We strive to recognise the importance of keeping the conversation around mental health going, including through our participation in initiatives such as Men's Mental Health Day.

Looking after each other is part of looking after our workforce.

We are delighted that our Pre-Construction Manager Sarah Murphy will be speaking on a panel at the Construction Industry Federation Digicon Summit 2026 on October 15th at Croke Park, Dublin. The Panel topic will be: BIM Mandate 2024–2028: What’s Coming from the Client Side.

As BIM adoption continues to develop across the Irish construction sector, the panel will look at what the BIM Mandate means from the client perspective and what contractors need to be prepared for as its implementation progresses.

We’re looking forward to hearing the discussion and contributing to the conversation around the next stage of digital construction in Ireland.
