Progress Update – U-Store, Tuam Road, Galway
Work is progressing well on the U-Store project on the Tuam Road in Galway.
Steel works expanding the existing building are now well underway, marking another key milestone as the project continues to take shape on site.
Great progress being made by all involved — looking forward to the next phases ahead.

Great evening at the CIF West Region Gala Dinner in Galway last night.

A fantastic opportunity to connect with industry colleagues, clients, consultants and supply chain partners from across the West of Ireland, while celebrating the continued strength and collaboration within the construction sector.

Well done to the Construction Industry Federation for organising another excellent event and to our friends in Coffey, for an epic sing off to finish the night.

We were proud to contribute to the Passive Product Certification Event, hosted by the Passive House Association of Ireland (PHAI), with expert insights from Dr. Wolfgang Feist, Founder of the Passive House Institute.
Our Senior Contracts Manager, John O’Connell—also a PHAI Board Member—shared practical insights on how Lean Construction principles can be aligned with Passive House certification. His talk explored how manufacturers and project teams can better navigate component certification by integrating lean processes from planning through to delivery.
It was an excellent event, highlighting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared commitment to advancing high performance, low energy construction in Ireland.

OCC Construction is proud to announce that site works have officially commenced on the new build for Gort National School.
We were delighted to welcome Minister for Education and Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton to the site last week, where she performed the official sod turning to mark the start of this exciting project.
The development will deliver a modern 12 classroom school building, providing high quality learning spaces for the Gort community for many years ahead.
We look forward to sharing progress as construction advances.

Ballyburke Project – Site Progress Update
Momentum is building at Ballyburke, as the project moves forward with key elements now underway.
Our tower crane is now in place and supporting the installation of precast panels, which are beginning to shape the first blocks of the development. Each lift is bringing the structure closer to its full form. Alongside this, our teams are progressing with the foundation works for the upcoming phases, ensuring continuous momentum across the development.
The project is advancing well, and the video below highlights some of the latest activity on site.
