From starting out as an apprentice to building EcoHeat Home Energy Solutions and founding TradeKonnect, it’s been an incredible journey. Every customer, every job, and every opportunity has helped get me to this point.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way. It genuinely means a lot. Now it’s over to the judges, and I’m proud to be representing our trade and showing what hard work, passion, and quality craftsmanship are all about.

I’m absolutely delighted to share that I’ve been selected as a Semi-Finalist for the Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2026 Awards! 🔧🏆

To be recognised among so many talented tradespeople across Ireland and the UK is something I’m incredibly proud of.

When I founded EcoHeat Home Energy Solutions, the goal was simple: deliver high-quality workmanship, put customers first, and continue raising the standards of our industry. Every boiler installed, every heat pump serviced, every plumbing job completed, and every happy customer has helped us get to this point.

This achievement isn’t just for m it’s a huge milestone for EcoHeat. To receive this recognition so early in our journey gives me even more motivation to keep growing the business, investing in quality, embracing new technologies, and providing the best possible service to every customer.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way my customers for trusting EcoHeat, my family and friends for their constant encouragement, and everyone who has followed the journey so far.

Whatever happens next, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s ahead.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far the journey has come.

🏆 Apprentice of the Year 2023 – Generation Apprenticeship Awards
🏆 Rising Star of the Year 2023 – Plumbing & Heating Awards
🇩🇪 Travelled to Germany with IWSH in 2023 as part of an international charity plumbing project
🏛️ Spoke in the Houses of the Oireachtas on the future of STEM and apprenticeships in Irish education
🌍 Became an Individual Member of the World Plumbing Council #
🤝 Founded TradeKonnect, a growing community built to connect and support tradespeople across Ireland
📕 Gained a BSc Degree in Energy Management for buildings.

The apprenticeship gave me more than a qualification. It gave me opportunities, experiences, friendships and a passion for continuous improvement.

From working on major projects, representing the trade at industry events, speaking about apprenticeships, building TradeKonnect, and learning from some incredible people along the way, every step helped shape the path I’m on today.

Now, I’m proud to be the founder of EcoHeat Home Energy Solutions, providing heating, gas, renewable energy and heat pump services to homeowners and businesses across Ireland.

Big week for the EcoHeat team 🔧♻️

We’ve just wrapped up a full week training with ECAC completing our F-Gas & HydroCarbons course giving us a deeper understanding of how heat pumps and refrigerants actually operate, from the inside out.

This isn’t just a cert for the wall…
It’s about making sure we can properly diagnose, service, and maintain heat pump systems safely and efficiently for our customers.

As more homes move towards renewables, it’s important to us that we stay ahead investing in the right training so we can deliver the same high standard across boilers and heat pumps.
