We are entering the biggest decade of Irish infrastructure delivery. Major projects are moving at pace and we have a growing population in our cities.

As more projects move into delivery, live road environments will become busier and more complex, and we are now at a crossroads: when the infrastructure becomes more ambitious, but safety stays the same, the gap becomes risk.

For South Dublin County Council, CHM supported grass cutting works on the N4 at Palmerstown and the R136 Outer Ring Road, providing a Lane 2 closure to create a safe working environment for the maintenance team and road users.

Vegetation management may look simple from the outside, but on busy routes it depends on careful planning, clear traffic management, safe separation, and teams who understand how to keep the network moving while essential works are carried out.
