Gravel Driveway, Shankill, Co Wicklow
A very simple gravel driveway design which entailed removing existing concrete driveway. Materials used, included: Silver granite cobble, Granite paving, Gravel core matting and finally 14mm Ballylusk gravel. The matting creates great stability underfoot, partnered with angular self compacting 14mm gravel.

Low Maintenance Landscaping Contract, Knocklyon, Co Dublin. Client required low maintenance garden which could be used for roller skating. To soften we used contrasting paving colours with meandering layout. The client was very happy with the results & posted the following Google review: "Kevin has completely transformed my garden and how my family will live in our home.
From the very beginning, Kevin listened carefully to what we wanted to get from the garden makeover, and importantly he took his time to understand the space and the surroundings.
Our house is a new build, and the garden is small. We wanted something low maintenance, beautiful; full of life and colour - a space we could use as another room, and a space where I could practice roller skating 🙂
What we have now has exceeded my expectations. Even though we had agreed a plan, I was blown away by how it has turned out. Kevin is exceptionally committed to the project. A perfectionist at heart, Kevin has an eye for the detail and works" collaboratively to get the best result. We had an end-to-end service - from design, build, helping us to choose the plants and carrying out the planting work.

Landscaping Contract, Dodder Valley, Rathfarnham, Co Dublin. This was a beautiful garden with existing Pittosporum tenuifolium/Lauris nobilis trees, mature climbing roses, specimen shrubs, some worth keeping. It was post construction of large extension to back of house which was quite contemporary in style. There was a juxtapose between modern(Close to the house) to traditional as you moved into the garden. This juxtapose I would integrate into my garden design. The surrounding walls were on the low side especially left and right, but the mature trees at the back afforded good privacy along the back boundary. There was an old worn out shed on Western side under the Pittosporum with large compost heap beside. Also on this side, was a 400mm high mound of soil extending 5M out from boundary, which must have been a raised bed at some stage. The rest was an unlevel old lawn with outer beds. I surveyed the site, took photos & sat down with the clients to understand their requirements.
The garden design I created started with a contemporary foil of raised Porceline patio with plastered beds in keeping with the new extension. From the patio a traditional feel was incorporated in keeping with the old surrounding walls & existing mature trees. This area included: Large meandering lawn area with inground Berg trampoline, Raised beds created using reclaimed old granite cobbles, Wall extension for privacy & shelter from westerlies, Custom built Baumanns Garden Shed, Raised granite kerb bed including timber seating, Seating area and apron up to shed using Grey limestone, Mature specimen planting including 4M Silver birch to fill space between existing trees, Low voltage garden lighting strategically placed throughout the garden. The clients were delighted with the work & kindly posted a 5 star review.
