We received a call of a client today who reported a burning smell and cracking noise coming from a double socket in the sitting room.

When we arrived, we isolated and tested the socket. When we unscrewed the socket the rear of the socket was badly broken and exposed to the outdoor elements.

We replaced with a brand new double usb switched socket.
