"A serious fire which occurred in Mountjoy Square Dublin just last month, was another example of the real danger to life when a fire takes place in the home or in business.
The early morning fire which took residents by surprise, meant that the fire services had to rescue people from upper floors with ladders and specialised equipment.
Approximately 150 people live in the adjoining buildings and so there was a very serious threat to life in this incident.
People should be very aware of the danger of fire. We recommend that people test the fire alarm and smoke detector systems regularly. You should also ensure that you have the correct firefighting equipment in place such as fire extinguishers, fire hoses, fire blankets etc.

Excellent article on the ATM gas attack on RTE 1 CrimeCall programme last night. This really showed the enormous potential damage to life and property.
