studio 468 features in Common Ground's new website which was launched today.

Common Ground was delighted to host Maureen Kennelly, Director of the Arts Council in the Lodge where Common Ground is based today. Along with meeting our artists in residence Evelyn Broderick in studio 468, Manar Al Shouha at the Lodge, board member Catherine Marshall and jazz musician Colm O’Hara, we shared with Maureen our newly designed website which we launched today. We are very grateful to the Arts Council for its Capacity Building Support scheme which has funded the redesign and build of our website. It was designed and built by David Stanley of Remo Creative along with our logo refresh and colour palette by designer Ruth Martin. Have a browse of our new website here: https://www.commonground.ie/

We are delighted to announce a new community based residency award, A Radical Imagination which will run from April 2022 to December 2022. It offers two collaborative or socially engaged artists / arts collective / community partners an opportunity to be based in Dublin 8 over a two year period between two settings with multiple supports.

The first phase, from April to December 2022 will be primarily a research phase, located in both studio 468 and the Lodge, Inchicore. The timing of the award also marks when Dublin 8, the area in which Common Ground works and is located continues to experience multiple changes to its urban and social fabric as we navigate our way through a pandemic.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We welcome proposals from a cross section of socially engaged / collaborative artist(s) and / or art collectives / community groups who are new, or not so new, to this field of practice and are interested in engaging in, expanding or collaborating across art forms and disciplines.
Please go to www.commonground.ie for the A Radical Imagination brief.
