Join us at the 2026 All-Ireland Hedge Laying Championships on Saturday 26th September!

📍 Oghil, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, W34 RF89 (Exit the M7 at Junction 14)
⏰ Open to spectators from 10-4 pm.

See this traditional countryside skill in action and enjoy the accompanying food and trade stalls, including local craftspeople. It’s a family-friendly day out and there will also be opportunities to hear from experts about how to plant and manage hedgerows for nature.

The event is free to attend, just arrive on the day and follow the direction of our parking stewards.

Not sure if it will even soak to the roots....but yes it's finally raining 😁

This semi shady area was just poor quality grass last
year. We installed this native mix fromie way too late in the season,
sometime around July. It showed a good start late last
year and has really bloomed in its first proper season.

Dominated by Ox-eye daisies, Red campion and Cats
ears at the moment, over the coming seasons, other plants will start to emerge and the patch will find balance.

We have multiple wildflower patches planned for other customers this autumn. These can be added to every type of garden and every little bit helps our pollinators!

Just look how stunningly beautiful this wildflower meadow is 😍

I have never understood the people who buy single dwellings in the Irish countryside and have half an acre of boring mowed grass around the property. No flower beds, no colour, no wildlife!

All that space and no imagination 😕

The May Garden is starting to BLOOM!

A few shots from around the May garden at home. The warm weather has certainly brought on a few of the perennials and the rain next week will give the garden a much needed drink.
