Great news for homeowners — a brand new battery storage grant is now available, making it more affordable than ever to get the most from your solar energy! 🎉

Here’s everything you need to know 👇

🔋 Grant Amount: €600 flat rate (regardless of battery size)
⚡ Minimum Requirement: Battery must have a usable capacity of at least 5 kWh
📅 Now Open: Applications opened 6 October 2026

☀️ Combining with Solar PV:
Already have solar panels? You can apply for the €600 battery grant on its own. Installing both? Combine it with the standard Solar PV grant (up to €1,800) in a single application — bringing your total standard support to €2,400! 💰

Enhanced Welfare Support:
Eligible homeowners receiving certain Department of Social Protection welfare payments can access significantly higher funding — up to €9,000 covering a full solar PV and battery system 🙌
