New qualification unlocked! 🎓
I've just completed the Professional Air Tightness Testing Training Course with 2eva.ie Energy Consultants at Gateway Business Centre, Carlow.
Two intense days, 16 hours of training, covering:

✅ Part L regulations and ISO 9972:2015
✅ Equipment, calibration and correct measurement
✅ Thermal imaging, tracer smoke and fault finding
✅ n50 and qe50 explained
✅ NSAI registration process and report writing
✅ Hands-on testing with the blower door

Huge thanks to trainers Fiachra Hogan and Mark Shirley for two excellent days. Good insulation is only half the story. If the building isn't airtight, you're losing performance, so I'm looking forward to putting this to work.

🌬 Upskilling in Airtightness testing & Building Energy Performance

Another step forward in our ongoing professional development.

This time, we travelled to 2EVA in Carlow for practical training in airtightness testing and building energy performance, gaining further hands-on experience with professional blower door equipment and air leakage testing.

The training focused on understanding how buildings perform as a whole — from identifying air leakage paths and improving airtightness to understanding the relationship between airtightness, ventilation and overall energy efficiency.

This upskilling forms part of our ongoing preparation towards NSAI certification and our commitment to delivering higher-performing, more energy-efficient homes.
