It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved May.
For many years, May has been at the heart of Ballybrack, caring for generations of families in our community with a kindness, compassion and dedication that meant so much to so many. May began working in the pharmacy in 1997 and took over the pharmacy in 2004 – renaming it Ballybrack Medical Hall.
May cared deeply about her work and the people she looked after. She gave so much of herself to this pharmacy, often in quiet ways that went unnoticed, but made a real difference to those who needed her help or advice.
Her kindness, approachability, caring nature and generosity meant so much to us all, and it is difficult to imagine the pharmacy without her.
Above all, she was a much-loved wife and mother, and our thoughts are especially with husband Leo and daughters Catherine, Eleanor, Caroline and Meabh – all who worked in the pharmacy – their loss is immeasurable.
We want to reassure our customers that her colleagues will continue to be here for you, providing the care and kindness that meant so much to May. We can think of no more fitting way to honour her than to carry forward the kindness and care she gave so freely.
The pharmacy will be closed on Tuesday October 20th as a mark of respect to May.
A book of condolence has been opened in the shop for May for those who wish to share a memory or message of sympathy.
