We're proud to announce that Clancy Construction has achieved ISO 50001:2018 certification for our Energy Management System.

This internationally recognised standard reflects our commitment to improving energy performance, reducing waste and using energy more efficiently across our operations. It covers energy use across our construction projects and associated operations at our Drangan headquarters.

Achieving this certification is a significant milestone for Clancy and reflects the collective effort of teams across the business, who continue to drive energy awareness and sustainable practices into everything we do.

As we continue delivering projects throughout Ireland, ISO 50001 reinforces our commitment to building in a more sustainable and environmental way, creating long term value for our clients, partners and the communities.

We are delighted to have received the Residential Private Up to €30m Category Award at last nights Irish Construction Excellence Awards for the Ronald McDonald House, a project that means so much to everyone involved and one that we were honoured to deliver.

We were especially proud to see four Clancy projects shortlisted this year, recognising the outstanding dedication, skill and collaboration of our teams throughout the business

Last week at the CIF Southern Construct Summit & Exhibition 2026 in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, industry leaders, policymakers and key stakeholders came together to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping housing, infrastructure and investment delivery across the region.

Clancy Construction Director Cormac Smith took part in a panel discussion alongside Heber Mc Mahon, Con Ferry and Timothy Segal exploring how Cork can attract and retain the next generation of trades while continuing to strengthen apprenticeships and training pathways.

The panel also explored how digital tools and emerging technologies can support traditional construction skills, improving productivity, quality and efficiency. As the industry evolves, combining hands on experience with innovation will be key to building a skilled, future ready workforce.

April continued to see strong momentum across our sites, with contractors demonstrating a consistent commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

High standards were maintained throughout the month, with safe systems of work implemented, PPE used correctly and tasks carried out in a controlled and professional manner. Work areas remained organised and well managed, reflecting strong site awareness and a proactive approach to reducing risk on site.

Collaboration also remained a key priority. Contractors worked closely with Clancy teams and fellow trades, communicating effectively, identifying issues early and supporting safe, informed decision making. This collective approach continues to contribute to safe, efficient and well managed project delivery across all sites.

Our Construction Director, Cormac Smith, alongside his daughter Emily and sons Odhran and Fionan, are taking on a skydiving challenge in memory of Cormac’s sister, Berni, to raise vital funds for The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association. Berni sadly passed away from lung fibrosis while waiting for a lung transplant, and the family are honouring her memory by supporting other families affected by this devastating illness.

Last night, Clancy had three teams taking part in the Staff Relay race in Phoenix Park as part of our ongoing CSR initiatives.

With each participant completing a 5km leg, the team collectively clocked up an incredible 75km on the evening.

It was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, team spirit and plenty of support along the route.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and supported on the night! 👏

Congratulations to Gerry Duffy on being part of the Westmeath management team that captured the Leinster Senior Football Championship title on Sunday in Croke Park. A historic achievement for the county, it marked Westmeath’s first Leinster title since 2004 and only the second in their history.

Alongside James Martin, Gerry has built a longstanding relationship with Clancy Construction through empowering high performance across our organisation.
