Had a great weekend running a competition workshop for the Irish Arboriculture apprenticeship program students! The students had the opportunity try the different disciplines they would find in the competition and ask questions about how a tree climbing competition works. Thanks to everyone involved, the Beech tree and scenery were amazing!

Absolutely delighted for gtc apprentice on receiving spirit of the competition at the UKITCC climbing competition!

He did his first competition the ITCC in June weeks after getting his climbing tickets and 3 months later he competed again in the uk over the weekend. He hasn’t had a huge amount of time in the trees at work but wanted to compete regardless.

For anyone who has competed in a climbing competition they know how nerve wracking it can be, he did it with a smile, positive attitude and a hunger to improve.

This award is well deserved!

Small reduction all round and removal of major deadwood on a lovely mature Oak above a busy vets ! The Merlo once again coming in to its own with the basket fitted 👌

Recent job with the Merlo. Removal of a badly damaged Poplar tree, entangled in a Holm Oak and overhanging a lake. Job spec. was no sawdust in the lake and no damage to the Holm Oak. Without the Merlo it would have been a full day of climbing and rigging a fairly dangerous tree. Job went well with both job requirements. The Merlo really is an amazing tool.
