We had a fantastic company day out in Kinsale on 12th June 2026.
While the fish weren’t biting, the day was buzzing with energy, meaningful conversations, and strong team spirit. We had a superb meal at Man Friday, Kinsale. Looking forward to more moments that reinforce our teamwork and culture.

The official opening of Brí House at D**e Parade for the Mercy Foundation
Saturday 6th June by An Taoiseach Micheal Martin T.D.

The Mercy Cancer Care Centre is a fantastic and a much-needed facility which offers a supportive environment for Mercy University Hospital patients who have received a cancer diagnosis and is the base for the
Mercy University Hospital psycho-oncology service.

The Mercy Hospital Foundation itself is the official fundraising body for the Mercy University Hospital, and it works with donors, volunteers, and local businesses to raise funds that advance patient care, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund critical medical research led by CEO Rachael Stevenson and Eoin Tobin Chair of the Board.

No.9 D**e Parade is a listed three storey late Georgian terraced house built circa. 1795 and its character and holistic feel makes it ideally suited for its new lease of life. In preserving and adapting the building and retaining many of its characteristic features, the Mercy Foundation are also preserving an essential element of Cork’s built heritage.

Well done to all involved including the incredible Mercy Foundation team, DWP Project Managers, the design team led by JCA Architects, the Main Contractors Ross Building Solutions Ltd. and great to be involved as Construction Cost Consultants.

CARRAIG CENTRE NOMINATED FOR ICE AWARDS 2026

Delighted to see that the Carraig Centre in Old Quarter Ballincollig has been shortlisted for an Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Award at the National Conference Centre in Dublin tonight in the Fit Out/Refurbishment Category.

The Carraig Centre (TCC) is a facility operated by Carrigrohane Union of Parishes, Church of Ireland, and is intended as a church, parish and community centre managed by Bill Lane the Centre Manager and the Board of Directors.

The Carraig Centre building itself is a significant historic structure which was part of the former Murphy’s Military Barracks built in 1810 to protect and secure the nearby Ballincollig Royal Gunpowder Mills, and it has been carefully restored and converted for community use employing Best Conservation Practice under the stewardship of the Carraig Centre team.

Well done to RBR Conservation for an excellent job and to the Southgate Associates Conservation Specialist Design Team. Mcor Cost Consultants were pleased to have provided Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Management services on the project.

🍖 Summer has arrived at MCOR Cost Consultants 🍖
We welcomed the first day of summer with a fantastic BBQ at Core House in Ballincollig. It was a great opportunity for colleagues to relax, enjoy some delicious food, and connect with the other businesses based here at Core House, including Neurobell, Cork Confidential Shredding Limited, Envarq and Resilience Physiotherapy.
A lot of preparation went into organising the event, and thankfully the sunshine made an appearance too! ☀️
It was wonderful to see everyone coming together and making the day such a success.

WORKS TO THE CLOCK AT SHANDON STEEPLE COMPLETED
The major restoration programme has just been completed at Shandon Steeple and the Four Faced Liar is at last telling the correct time on all four faces!
The works comprised the complete overhaul of the main clock mechanism and the full refurbishment of the clock faces together with stone masonry works, historic joinery repairs and renewals and the cleaning of the steeple façade.
Well done to Cork City Council and the Department of Heritage, Local Government and Housing who provided the funding and well done to the hardworking team of specialists who delivered an incredible project at St Anne’s Shandon.
Mcor Cost Consultants provided Construction Cost Management Services for the works and it was exciting to be involved on this once if a lifetime project.

We were delighted to host our first Client Appreciation evening 19th February, under our newly merged company Mcor Cost Consultants. It was a unique opportunity for us to have clients old and new in the room, meeting our teams and getting to know each other.
When MMC Quantity Surveyors joined forces with Tony O’Regan Associates, Mcor Cost Consultants was officially born, merging an innovative, forward-thinking approach with decades of industry expertise and established networks and something truly special happened. They realised they shared the same core values: creativity, practicality, reliability, and a client-first mindset.

Mcor Developer Services

At Mcor, we provide specialised commercial support and procurement for developers.

This service optimises cost, buildability and feasibility of projects.

Early involvement is key to maximising return for a site and finding economic solutions to individual site challenges.

We undertake detailed bills of quantities as early as possible, with descriptions coded into trade packages and rates coded for labour, material, subcontract and plant.
This allows us to split the BOQs into trade packages which we can procure from the supply chain.

This allows for efficient procurement and cost certainty as packages are compared with the budget allowances ensuring that the project is delivered within budget.

For Marlet, in Midleton, we took this project from a green field when we started in April 2025 to 60 foundations laid by December

Thank you to the Engenuiti team for inviting us to the Engineers Ireland President's Ball recently! As we work closely together on many projects, it was great to enjoy an evening together outside of work.

Also, a big thanks to Engineers Ireland for organising such a wonderful event, it was a fantastic opportunity to meet and connect with others across the construction industry. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
