Sometimes I have a mood to take my IWATA lph-80 and spraying the cabinets with that. Different spray setup (HVLP, XVLP, AIRLESS) BUT the finishes always beautiful ☺️

The kitchen originally had melamine-faced MDF doors, but over time the plastic coating had started to peel away, leaving only the MDF surface underneath.

Preparation is the most important part of a job like this. MDF behaves almost like sandpaper when it gets wet because the fibres raise and become rough. MDF is essentially made from wood fibres compressed and glued together under high pressure, so proper sealing and preparation are essential before spraying to achieve a smooth, durable finish.
