We are delighted to announce that SIG has come 39th in the 2026 list of Ireland’s 200 Best Employers as compiled by the Sunday Independent and Statista R. This is a rise of 129 places from last year when we first appeared in the list and we were the second highest ranked company in the Construction and related services sector after Cairn Homes.

Commenting on the achievement, Kevin Windle, Managing Director of SIG in Ireland said: “This is a fantastic achievement for us as a company and reflects the great people that we have working in our 4 different businesses across the island of Ireland. We try to foster a culture in which people enjoy coming to work and feel valued for the contribution that they make. Our inclusion in this esteemed list shows that we are delivering on this objective.”

Huge thanks to all our teams across SIG for getting involved in Safety Week 👏

From the ideas shared on safety boards to the engagement across every branch, it’s clear that safety is embedded in everything we do. Our branch-wide employee competition brought forward some brilliant ideas — many of which we’re excited to roll out nationwide. It was also great to see strong involvement from our SLT, visiting branches and engaging directly with teams on their safety ideas.

We were delighted to welcome Michael Stegeman and Kevin Moore from , who visited the Dublin, Omagh and Belfast branches. They highlighted the high standards, strong compliance, and positive safety culture across our business — and recognised SIG Ireland as an OPCO with the lowest LTIFR, seeing first-hand the work behind this achievement.

It was also great to introduce our new SIG-branded safety jackets for all branch members and drivers. Alongside this, SIG-branded coffee cups were delivered to every branch — giving employees and customers the chance to share a coffee together and lift spirits during the week.

A huge well done to our Safety team — Niall Kennedy and Maria McErlean — for delivering such a successful week.

Today is International Women in Construction Day 🏗️

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of welcoming 85+ of Ireland's senior women in construction to The Westbury, for our 4th annual Women in Construction Lunch — and what an afternoon it was.

Two panel discussions. Honest conversations. Real stories. And to close — a live performance from the incredible Mary Byrne. 🎤

According to the (Central Statistics Office Ireland), more than nine in ten construction workers in Ireland are still men. That statistic is exactly why we keep showing up for this event, year after year.

SIG is proud to continue our annual tradition of supporting a number of incredible children’s health and mental health charities across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

On our yearly call with our charity partners, we heard how our donations continue to make a real impact — from funding new diagnostic equipment and home nursing care to providing free 1-to-1 counselling for those in need.

This year, we also felt the absence of our colleague , who had always organised this initiative. We continue this tradition in his memory.

Our Christmas donations are made in place of corporate gifts and cards.
