usumawijaya architecture & urban design, a Jakarta (Indonesia) based architecture & urban design of ce, was established on October 2012. This young and emerging company, led by Sigit Kusumawijaya, a nominee of Satu Indonesia Award 2011: “Indonesia Inspiring Youth”, graduated from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands, majoring Urbanism with Master of Science degree, is focused on design projects, writings and research of various elds: architecture, urban planning, interior design, landscape design, environment, and social community movement. Its projects both design and research studies have reached broad range coverage from local areas such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Pontianak and Semarang, to other worldwide cities such as Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Almere, Rotterdam, Washington and Cape Town. The company which consist of talented and promising architects and designers concern on green, eco, urban farming, food security and sustainable issues relate with the architecture services in accordance with its local context towards livable cities.

As a graduated student from TU Delft, Netherlands, for Master Program of Urbanism, Sigit Kusumawijaya has finished several design projects especially in architecture, urban planning, graphic design and cinematography project. He works well in teams and is comfortable to communicate with people from various levels in the society. He is able to recognize the importance of a strong work ethic, persistence, and intellectual integrity. He also achieved some awards from the competitions which he participated in national and international scale. Was born at Jakarta, Indonesia on November 14th, 1981, Sigit has finished several design projects, writings and research especially in architecture, urban planning, interior design, landscape design, environment, graphic design, cinematography and music project also social community movement. Graduated from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands, majoring Urbanism with Master of Science degree and got Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Indonesia majoring Architecture, Sigit has achieved some awards and publications from the competitions as well as become a speaker and presenter in several seminars or conferences which he participated in national and international scale. With his experience, he also has proven his talent and skills both in national and international level such as at T.R. (Ken Yeang), Malaysia; Andra Matin Architects, Indonesia; Mei Architecten & Stedenbouwers BV., the Netherlands; and PT MRT Jakarta, Indonesia. Being one of the nominees for Satu Indonesia Award 2011: “Indonesia Inspirative Youth”, initiated by Astra Indonesia, he established his own company named Sigit Kusumawijaya Architecture and Urban Design and also teaches at University of Indonesia as a Guest Lecturer. Sigit founded Belajar Desain or Design Learning Community, an open designers community for young designers, artists and architects, also co-initiated Indonesia Berkebun, an urban farming community that spread positive spirit to city dwellers to be more concerned to the environment which gained Goggle Awards 2011 "Web-Heroes" by Google Asia Pacific. Sigit currently also becomes an Executive Steering Committee Member for Atap Jakarta – House Vision Indonesia, an organization that conducts activities focused on “future housing” in Jakarta.
