PF House — a contemporary tropical design that connects the family to nature.
Sitting on a hook-shaped plot in Jakarta Timur, PF House was designed within a compact spatial brief. Instead of treating these as limitations, JDGC Architect turned them into the foundation of the design.
At the center of the house, an inner courtyard rises through a void connecting the 1st and 2nd floors, anchored by a tall tree standing at the heart of the home, connecting daily life to nature. This void does double duty: pulling natural light deep into the plan while drawing cross ventilation through every level.
Upstairs, a second skin wraps the facade — filtering light, softening the tropical sun, and giving the family privacy without shutting the house off from its surroundings.
