Stara cigla. Novi mesh. Između njih — staklo koje ne skriva spoj nego ga naglašava.
Dogradnja ne mora pretvarati da je uvijek bila tu. Može reći: stigla sam 2020., i znam gdje sam.

Old brick. New mesh. Between them — glass that doesn't hide the joint but emphasises it.
An extension doesn't have to pretend it was always there. It can say: I arrived in 2020, and I know where I am.

Isti materijal. Drugo svjetlo.
Danju: tekstura, sjena, igra svjetla kroz mrežu. Noću: toplina, volumen koji se čini lakšim nego što jest.
Čelični mesh na javnoj instituciji u Puli. Pročelje koje nije isto dva p**a.

Same material. Different light.
By day: patina, shadow, texture. By night: warmth, a volume that seems lighter than it is.
Mesh on a public institution in P**a. A facade that is never the same twice.

Dogradnja Zavoda za javno zdravstvo Istarske županije, P**a.
Čelični mesh na javnoj instituciji nije estetski izbor. Mijenja ton sa svjetlom i godišnjim dobom. Zelenilo raste uz njega — nije posađeno tamo slučajno.
Pročelje koje živi zajedno s gradom oko njega.

Steel mesh on a public institution is not an aesthetic choice. It shifts tone with light and season. The greenery growing alongside it was not planted there by accident.
A facade that lives alongside the city around it.

Kuća C, Medulin.
Kamen u prizemlju — težak, lokalan, ukorijenjen. Aluminijske lamele na gornjem volumenu — lagane, precizne, filtrirajuće. Spoj između njih nije skriven. Naglašen je.
Materijal ne prati estetiku. Prati program.

House C, Medulin.
Stone on the ground floor — heavy, local, rooted. Aluminium louvres on the upper volume — light, precise, filtering. The joint between them is not concealed. It is emphasised.
Material doesn't follow aesthetics. It follows programme.

Kad klizna stakla nestanu, terasa i dnevni boravak postaju jedna soba.
Sumrak ulazi kad želi. Kružna svjetiljka ostaje — kao jedina granica između unutra i vani.

When the sliding glass disappears, the terrace and the living room become one room.
Dusk enters when it wants. The ring light stays — the only line between inside and outside.

Kuća C. Medulin, južna Istra.
Kamen koji je bio tu i prije. Bijeli volumen koji je tek stigao. Zeleno koje raste između.
Kuća koja ne odbija susjedstvo — nego s njim pregovara.

House C. Medulin, southern Istria.
Stone that was already there. A white volume that just arrived. Green growing in between.
A house that doesn't refuse the neighbourhood — it negotiates with it.

Sedam metara visine. Grede iz 1878. Betonska ležišta kotlova koja više ne rade — sad su stolovi. Dimnjak od 40 metara koji je cijelo stoljeće odavao dim — sad organizira prostor iznutra.
Kad prostor nosi ovakvu povijest, interijer ne smije biti glasniji od njega. Mora naučiti slušati zidove.

Seven metres of height. Beams from 1878. Concrete boiler bases that no longer work — now they are the tables. A 40-metre chimney that spent a century releasing smoke — now it organises the space from within.
When a space carries this kind of history, the interior cannot be louder than it. It has to learn to listen to the walls.

Fabbrica. Kandlerova, P**a.
Kotlovnica austrougarske vojarne iz 1878. Tvornica duhana od 1920. Trikotaža od 1948. Restoran od 2022.
Svaki sloj ostao je vidljiv. To nije bila slučajnost — bila je to up**a.

Every layer remained visible. That wasn't an accident — it was the brief.

Svaka prostorija nosi drugačiju gustoću.
Tamno drvo u vinskoj vitrini. Topla sauna iza staklene stijenke. Unutarnji bazen koji nema potrebu ništa dokazivati. Rez u stropu koja mijenja sobu jednom dnevno — kad sunce padne pod pravi k*t.
Detalji nisu ukrasi. Oni su razlog zašto prostor živi.

Each room carries a different density.
Dark timber in the w**e display. A warm sauna behind a glass wall. An indoor pool that has nothing to prove. A rooflight slot that changes the room once a day — when the sun hits the right angle.
Details are not decoration. They are the reason the space lives.

Kuhinja ili krajolik?
Staklo je tu da postavi pitanje, ne da ga odgovori.
Sve prostorne odluke na Villa Noble vraćaju se na isti odgovor: unutra i vani nisu dvije različite stvari.

Kitchen or landscape?
The glass is there to ask the question, not to answer it.
Every spatial decision at Villa Noble comes back to the same answer: inside and outside are not two different things.
