Stress advice from two dogs who don’t know what deadlines are but complain anyway.

Paco and Patty are our studio supervisors. They accept bribes in the form of unprocessed treats (meat only, no veggies here).

What did you need to hear today?

We’ve helped people build spice shelves, magnetic cutlery holders, tables, art installations, toys, lamps, plant shelves, outdoor furniture, and so much more.

We are probably the only studio in Hong Kong that will allow this kind of chaos into our lives. But we believe real learning, regardless of age, happens naturally when you’re motivated by a project of your choosing.

So, DM us and tell us what you want to build and let’s get started!

Our scariest craft yet? Maybe. Will you survive? Probably. Will it be cute? Absolutely.

It’s Crafts & Yaps, Halloween edition 🎃 The mystery craft stays mysterious, but we promise it’s more “cozy spooky” than “horror movie.”

Come make something weird with us.

We see it in every class or workshop we run.

People walk in nervous, convinced they’re “not creative.” An hour later they’re showing off a wonky spoon to the person next to them like it’s a trophy.

That shift is by design. Every A Collective Space workshop is co-developed by a carpenter and a psychologist. Why? Because spaces where to build are uncommon, unfamiliar ground in most parts of the world. And when they are available, they appear intimidating. So, for us, safety is the foundation of creativity.

If you want to bring this to your group of friends, community, school or team, we’d love to chat. Link in bio or DM us.

We’re on the cover of Young Post 🗞️

Thank you Young Post for sharing our story with Hong Kong’s young readers. This piece captures why we started A Collective Space: to build a place where craft meets conversation, where mistakes are welcome, and where people leave feeling a little more connected than when they walked in.

To everyone who’s been part of a Crafts & Yaps, a school workshop, or walked through our studio doors, this one’s for you.

‼️We’re not going to tell you what we’re making on 8 October (We never do)

But we can tell you this: it involves your hands, a table full of people who don’t know each other yet, and a craft nobody’s tried before.

By 8 PM, you’ll have made a thing and a few friends. Not a bad Thursday.

You don’t need to feel creative to start a creative hobby.
You don’t need to be the next famous artist.
You don’t even need to be “good with your hands” (whatever that means).
You don’t even need to make anything functional.

You need one hour, a little curiosity, and the willingness to make a mess.

That’s it. What’s something you’d want to make if you tried woodworking? Drop it below 👇

September is Su***de Awareness Month, and we’re proud to support and their Journey of Hope walk.

On 13 September, our Elgin St studio is open to everyone. Drop in, make a donation to TNN, and print a name, a word, or a message of remembrance onto a silk scarf using hand-carved wood blocks. No experience needed. Scarves are provided.

The main walk takes place on 20 September, but whether you walk or not, this is a chance to slow down, remember, and create with your hands in a space that holds room for that.

Three time slots: 10–11am, 11am–12pm, 1–2pm. Book yours at the link in bio.

Your donation helps TNN continue offering free peer support groups across Hong Kong. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to .

10/10 would recommend carving a tiny cat with strangers on a Thursday night. Unexpectedly healing. Slightly chaotic. Very cute results.

Everyone showed up not knowing anyone. Everyone left with a cat handle, a group chat, and plans for the next one.

More women are picking up power tools, building or fixing furniture, and choosing craft as a career. And it looks really, really good on them.

Want to try it? Our project-based classes for adults are open for booking. Link in bio.
