When snow falls in Hanazono, our Kaba Plot 5 villa settles into the slope like a memory made real. The villa’s exposed timber and natural stone frame floor-to-ceiling views of Mount Yōtei, each level stepping with the terrain to capture light and landscape.

Mornings begin in the tatami room with quiet tea; afternoons drift through open living spaces toward the spa. Bedrooms on the upper level offer private outlooks, while a children’s room and fireplaces create warm gathering spots. Robust and finely detailed, the house feels both shelter and stage for daily rituals.
