Mediterranean Minimalism — where architecture, nature, and light exist in perfect balance.
Two contemporary single-storey residences.
A contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean architecture, where light, materiality, and simplicity shape a calm and timeless living experience.
The design embraces a thoughtful dialogue between solid, open, and perforated volumes. Bioclimatic perforated screens (clostra) are strategically positioned on the west-facing façades, providing privacy while filtering natural light and creating ever-changing patterns of light and shadow throughout the day.
Natural stone cladding grounds the architecture at a human scale, introducing warmth, texture, and a sense of permanence. In contrast, crisp white plaster surfaces capture and reflect the luminous Attica sky, enhancing the purity of the architectural form. Bold green entrance doors act as distinctive focal points, marking the transition from the exterior to the home with a refined Mediterranean character.
The landscape is designed as an integral part of the architecture. Native olive trees, deeply rooted in the Mediterranean environment, seamlessly connect the built form with its natural surroundings, reinforcing a harmonious relationship between architecture, climate, and place.
