ANARCHITECT | ICONS IN TRANSITION

- FALLING WATER _ FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

A speculative architectural study of Fallingwater as a material and atmospheric inversion—where one of modernism’s most iconic gestures is reinterpreted through transparency, light, and climatic tension.

This series explores a radical reconfiguration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s original composition, dissolving its mass into pure glass. The familiar horizontal cantilevers and anchored relationship to the landscape are preserved in form, but transformed in substance—becoming almost immaterial.

A restrained red neon glow traces the geometry, not as decoration but as spatial instrumentation, revealing depth within transparency. Set against a severe winter landscape, snow and rock become both backdrop and reflection surface, amplifying the ambiguity between structure and environment.

This is not a reconstruction. It is a design research exercise by ANARCHITECT into the boundaries of modern architectural language—where iconic modernist residences are reinterpreted through the dual lens of transparency and light as material. A study on how architecture dissolves when structure stops being solid and starts becoming luminous.

ANARCHITECT | Residential Complex in Sivota

Set within the natural landscape of Sivota, this residential complex exterior design by ANARCHITECT reinterprets local architectural identity through a contemporary lens. The design draws from the region’s traditional materiality—primarily stone—embedding the project seamlessly into its surroundings while preserving a sense of authenticity.

This vernacular foundation is deliberately contrasted with modern architectural elements. Expansive glass surfaces, clean lines, and strict geometries introduce a refined minimalism, creating a balanced dialogue between past and present. The result is a composition where solidity meets transparency, and tradition evolves into a sophisticated contemporary expression.

The landscape design further enhances this duality. Lush, tropical planting—featuring species such as alocasia, strelitzia, and a curated mix of exotic greenery—adds a vibrant, unexpected layer to the Mediterranean setting. This contrast elevates the sensory experience, blending local character with a subtle, resort-like atmosphere.

The project ultimately reflects our approach: contextual, bold, and quietly luxurious—where architecture is not only built, but carefully composed.

Senor Morales — Architectural Design & Construction by Anarchitect

The design and construction of Senor Morales were guided by the creation of a solid, earthy atmosphere with subtle references to Tulum and Mexico. The floor, finished in pressed cement mortar, together with a palette of warm brown tones, forms a neutral base for the space, while the travertine surfaces are framed by linear concealed lighting that highlights texture and materiality.

The high ceiling was preserved and utilized to enhance the sense of vertical openness, complemented by the warmth of walnut furniture and the use of natural materials. Vegetation and fine, lightweight curtains introduce controlled translucency and balance within the warm lighting scheme.

The result is a space of refined clarity, where calm geometry and material expression converge into a cohesive architectural identity for Senor Morales.

Pappou Studio is more than just a summer retreat—it’s a tribute to family heritage, thoughtful design, and genuine hospitality.

Built by my grandfather—our beloved Pappou—these apartments welcomed guests from near and far for many years. The place held onto the warmth of family memories and the joyful echoes of summers gone by.

In 2025, as his grandson and an architect, I lovingly revived the space. Inspired by his legacy and a fresh Mediterranean spirit, I redesigned the property to bring together character, comfort, and timeless style.
