A small world, designed for play

A contemporary microcosm designed for play takes shape at Agapi Hotel in Crete, through clean lines, natural materials and playful details.

The space unfolds between two outdoor play zones, with a permeable axis connecting the interior with the exterior and allowing play to move freely between the two.

Along the two enclosed sides, timber-clad surfaces incorporate shelves and storage spaces, transforming the structure into an integrated, functional element of the room. The open layout keeps the space flexible, allowing it to adapt and transform according to the children’s needs and activities.

Here, architecture does not define the way play should happen; it creates the framework for it to unfold.

A space designed to accommodate imagination, movement and exploration, with the same natural ease with which the interior meets the exterior.

Elysium caved | Carved from Calm.

The implementation into the landscape, the construction with the use of the local land, and the minimal intervention in the plot, are some of the key elements that define the project.

Elysium Collection Villas, deeply rooted in Crete, consist of five earth-sheltered villas with private pools.

A horizontal incision opens the spaces towards the horizon, while courtyards emerge from the terrain, creating a seamless connection between luxury and nature.

A place to retreat, reconnect, and simply be.

NEW PROJECT | Pharmacy Design & Construction

A new pharmacy in Ierapetra, Crete, where functionality meets a distinctive architectural identity.

Curved forms define the façade, creating a strong and recognizable architectural presence. At the same time, curved forms reappear in selected interior elements, creating a visual continuity with the exterior.

The combination of clean forms, earthy tones and warm wooden elements creates a contemporary yet timeless space, transforming the pharmacy from a space of everyday service into a space of care, comfort and human connection.

We are delighted to share that Elysium Caved Villas, located in Agia Pelagia, Crete, is featured in the latest edition of EK Architecture + Design (Issue 309), dedicated to contemporary villa architecture.

We extend our sincere appreciation to for including our work in this publication.

Embedded within the volcanic landscape of Crete, the project explores the reinterpretation of the island's traditional cave architecture through a contemporary design approach, creating spaces that seamlessly connect architecture, landscape and the experience of place.

Elysium Caved |

The project moves between terrain, architecture and interior through a continuous use of space, light and materials.

The architecture, interior spaces and custom-designed elements were developed together, allowing the same design principles to define the project at every scale. The material palette is drawn from the Cretan landscape. Exposed concrete, local stone, oxidized steel, timber, polished cement surfaces and custom-designed fixed elements create a cohesive environment where architecture, interiors and furniture are conceived as a single whole.

ELYSIUM CAVED VILLAS

Located in Agia Pelagia, Crete, the project is organized around a primary compositional gesture: a horizontal incision inscribed into the natural topography and oriented towards the sea.
The architecture is shaped through a process of carving and subtraction, allowing the built form to become embedded within the landscape rather than placed upon it. Five cave villas unfold along this linear cut, where a clear geometric order meets the natural terrain to organize movement, space and views.
The topography is restored above the built footprint, while new planting gradually reclaims the site, strengthening over time the relationship between architecture, landscape and place.

New Project: Administrative Center of the Περιφέρεια Κρήτης / Region of Crete.
Located in the historic Lakkos district of Heraklion, it features a complex range of custom wooden structures implemented by Tsigenis Woodcraft. These installations masterfully balance institutional identity with a human-centric spatial experience. Leveraging advanced construction engineering and state-of-the-art equipment, we met the high technical demands of the project through specialized timber application studies and the production of high-specification furniture.

Our contribution included the fabrication and installation of specialized acoustic absorption panels, custom ceilings, and integrated furniture, ensuring both functionality and architectural tranquility within the workspaces and reception areas. Prioritizing high-quality natural materials and precision in ex*****on, we delivered surfaces that guarantee durability and optimal flow within the public space.
