We’ve recently finished this property to a high standard, giving the roofline a fresh new look while also improving protection and ventilation.

The work included installing a dry verge system, creating a strong, maintenance-free finish that protects the roof edges from weather damage. We also fitted breathable soffits to allow proper airflow through the roof space and help prevent condensation and damp issues.

To complete the job, we installed black round drainpipes, which really finish the property off with a clean, modern look. 🏡

The external areas of a chimney are constantly exposed to harsh weather conditions 🌧️💨❄️. When components such as pointing, leadwork, and flaunching are not properly maintained, they can deteriorate and lead to serious issues for both the chimney and the property.

🧱 Damaged or Missing Pointing
Failed mortar joints allow water to pe*****te the brickwork 💦. This can cause bricks to crack or spall, weaken the chimney structure, and lead to damp problems inside the property. Freeze–thaw action can make this deterioration worse over time ❄️➡️☀️.

🔩 Defective Leadwork
Split, lifted, or poorly fitted lead flashing around the chimney base can allow water to enter the roof area 🚿. This often results in leaks, rotting timbers, and internal ceiling damage. Sound leadwork is vital for keeping the roof and chimney junction watertight.
