As we move from one project to the next, our social media can sometimes go a little quiet. Behind the scenes, we’ve never stopped creating and designing, always trying to make the world a better place.

Lately, clients with completed gardens have been sending photos of their spaces looking their very best, and we are so grateful to see them thriving season after season.

The day we leave is only the beginning. Gardens continue to mature, settle, and evolve, while the story we created together keeps unfolding. 🌿

❄️ Don’t Rush the Cutback! Appreciate the Winter Structure 🌿

We often get asked when the best time is for the big garden cutback. My advice is always to hold off for winter and enjoy moments like this!

These photos, taken last Friday in a client’s garden, perfectly showcase the magic of a winter garden when the perennial stems and evergreen foliage catch the frost.

All these elements work together to give your winter landscape necessary structure and beauty. Don’t clear it all away—there’s so much to appreciate in the cold!

At Pickersgill Groundworks and Landscapes Ltd, we’re on the lookout for a Landscaping Professional who takes pride in their craft and has the skills to bring high-end designs to life.

✨ The Role Includes:
• Creating beautiful bespoke gardens 🌸
• Hard landscaping: paving, stonework, decking, fencing, walling 🧱
• Soft landscaping: turfing, planting, garden builds 🌱
• Operating small machines 🚜
• Working with plans and alongside Landscape Architects 📝
• Leading a team & keeping clients updated 👷‍♂️

👷 What We’re Looking For:
• At least 10 years’ landscaping experience (hard & soft)
• Confident, proactive & reliable
• Friendly, motivated & passionate about quality
• Full clean driving licence + trailer licence

💷 What You Get:
• Competitive pay
• Company van & fuel card (for the right candidate)
• 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• PPE provided
• Standard hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:30pm (occasional weekends)
• Winter hours: approx. 40 per week

🍂 Oh, smell the autumn in the air! 🍂

Now in its fourth season, this garden has truly found its character—natural, wild, romantic. Since April I’ve done no watering and no gardening, simply letting the plants adapt and support one another as the climate demands.

I’m a great believer that, with the right plants in the right place, a little help at the beginning is all that’s needed. Once established, they create their own self-supporting system—and this autumn’s display proves it beautifully. 🌿✨
