Pizza Friday at Adpol…. as a thank you to the guys and gals who worked blooming hard to get a record 314 jobs out in September and maintaining 93% on-time delivery, and even putting in two late nights for AOG ( aircraft on ground) jobs……

We got surprise pizza delivery at the end of the day….,

Seems the extrusion hot boxes do a great job as pizza warmers too…

We’ll take that as a continuous improvement ….. 😉

We are delighted to announce that Advanced Polymers Ltd (Adpol) has achieved approved supplier status with Boeing.

This milestone follows around 18 months of working closely with Boeing designers and engineers on a number of bespoke projects, including technical development, trials and sample production.

For Adpol, this represents another important step in the continued growth of our aerospace business and reflects our commitment to quality, responsive technical support and the development of specialist polymer solutions for demanding applications.

With AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems, in-house compound development and extensive silicone extrusion and moulding capabilities, we look forward to continuing our work with Boeing and supporting future projects.

A great achievement for the whole Adpol team.

Silicrumb FR passes smoke and toxicity tests for Aerospace cabins public transport and mass transit.

Silicrumb FR ( C and S grades) already meet vertical burn self extinguishing standards and so can now be used for Aerospace, rail and mass transit applications as colour matched mouldings and extrusions to help these sectors reduce Co2 emissions with full certification.

Adpol’s 70 shore hardness Flame Retardant Silicrumb FR (Recycled Silicone Rubber) has successfully passed Aerospace 15 Sec vertical burn tests.

Our Silicrumb FR 40 grade has already passed this standard meaning we can now offer 40, 50, 60 and 70 shore flame retardant extrusions and mouldings in recycled Silicone Rubber.

Another global first.

Flame retardant Silicone Rubber components are used in Aerospace, Rail, MOD, Mass transit and saftey door/encloseure seal applications.

With an increasing number of customers in these sectors striving to meet sustainability and green targets this should be a welcome new, certified material to use.

Smoke release and toxicity tests are underway.

Adpol is proud to announce a global first in being able to mechanically recycle and reuse Silicone Rubber successfully in production.

We are already working with a number of firms in the life science aerospace and fashion sectors to find manufacturing opportunities to keep some of the 8.8million tons of silicone produced a year from ending up in landfill.

As Innovate Grant winners we have been supported in the development and testing of a flame retardant grade for the Aerospace and public transport sectors…
