☘️ "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" ☘️

This polished black granite memorial stands proud in The Sacred Heart Churchyard displaying two coloured shamrock clovers either side of the gilded Celtic style cross.

The symbolic engravings adorning this headstone are finalised with the title of the famous Irish poem 🎵 along the plinth

Simple and Elegant 🙏

This memorial evokes the heartfelt sense of loss that comes with saying goodbye to a loved one in a simple yet powerful way 🫶

Installed within the cremation section of Astwood Cemetery, the gilded inscription catches the sunlight beautifully, standing out against the polished black granite and creating a striking, dignified tribute.

There are times where it is not possible to add further inscription lettering to an existing memorial, however - depending on the regulations at the burial ground - it may be an option to add a tablet memorial at the foot of a headstone.

One such example here where we provided a cremation style tablet memorial to match the existing headstone works well to compliment one another.

Stunning double heart memorial 💕
We recently installed this memorial at Astwood Cemetery, produced using polished black granite and provided bespoke artwork of snowdrops to form the delicate separation between the two heart shapes. The gold leaf of the lettering really makes this stand out ✨

This family visited us for a memorial consultation and, while here, saw work being carried out on another memorial featuring Incimar-style lettering being added to match an existing headstone inscription.

Impressed by its traditional appearance, they decided they would like the same lettering style for their own memorial. To further enhance this classic look, they chose a part-polished finish — with a polished face and sanded edges and rear. This style was particularly popular during the 1980s and 1990s, especially in churchyards where it provided a more semi-rustic appearance.

The addition of the daffodils brings a vibrant touch of colour, beautifully complementing the timeless design of this traditional headstone.
