It’s all in the detail. 🖤

From the beautiful marble-effect tiles and brushed bronze finishes to the statement double basins and carefully considered lighting, every element of this bathroom has been designed to work together.

What was once a fairly ordinary space has been completely transformed into something sleek, sophisticated and with that luxury spa feel.

But it’s not just about how a bathroom looks.

It’s about making the space work. Clever design, clean lines, concealed fittings and lighting that can completely change the atmosphere of the room.

The illuminated Utopia mirror, bespoke-feel vanity, recessed shower alcove and warm LED lighting all add their own finishing touches.

And with Warmup underfloor heating, the luxury doesn’t stop at what you can see.

A bathroom that looks incredible, feels luxurious and works beautifully every day.

Lighting is everything. ✨

The right lighting doesn’t just illuminate a room. It transforms it.

At KPD by Design, we believe that beautiful lighting is just as important as the design itself.

Whether it’s subtle LED lighting tucked into a bathroom alcove, a statement pendant above a kitchen island, or a softly illuminated mirror, it’s those finishing touches that bring a space to life.

We think about lighting from the very beginning of every project. How it enhances the materials, creates atmosphere, highlights the best features and changes the way a room looks and feels.

Bright and practical when you need it. Soft, warm and relaxing when you don’t.

Because a beautifully designed room deserves lighting that brings out its absolute best.

This is one of the best before and afters 💫

Sharp. Slick. Spa. 🖤

This particular client had a vision before we even met.

The brief was simple. Sharp, slick and with the feel of a luxury spa.

The challenge was making the most of the space available.

By removing unnecessary waste pipe boxing and carefully reworking the room’s proportions, we created enough space for a statement double vanity that simply wouldn’t have been possible with the original layout.

A concealed Geberit cistern, tiled recessed shower alcove and clever storage keep everything looking clean and streamlined.

The dark marble-effect tiles, brushed bronze finishes and illuminated mirror bring the whole design together.

Separate LED lighting controls allow the room to take on different moods, while Warmup underfloor heating adds that final touch of comfort and luxury.

From a fairly ordinary bathroom to something quite extraordinary.

A great example of what can be achieved with the right planning, attention to detail and craftsmanship.

This bathroom renovation had been on our client’s wish list for quite some time and it was well worth the wait.

We installed a much-needed three-way diverter shower valve, offering multiple showering options, while adapting a solid oak vanity unit to bring warmth and character to the room.

A dual-fuel heated towel rail provides comfort throughout the seasons, and one of our must-haves when choosing floor tiles underfloor heating completes the space beautifully.

One of the most incredible before and after!

A complete transformation of this ground-floor bathroom.

Our client invited us round to look at the possibilities for updating her main bathroom and came to us with a clear vision of what she wanted to achieve.

With any ground-floor bathroom, one of the first things we consider is the infrastructure. It’s not simply about where you’d like everything to go - we need to establish what is achievable, particularly when repositioning waste and creating a floor-mounted shower tray.

Once we’d worked through that, the design came together beautifully.

Repositioning the shower allowed us to make much better use of the space and introduce some much-needed storage. The large-format tiles make a real statement, so we brought warmth back into the room with walnut-effect furniture and bronze finishes.

Lighting was also key. With limited natural light, carefully positioned lighting and the illuminated mirror completely changed the feel of the room.

We even used a matching walnut-effect panel to create shelving above the WC - a simple detail, but one that ties the whole room together.

A great example of what can be achieved when the design and installation are considered together from the very beginning.

The ensuite transformation.

Following on from the main bathroom, here’s the matching ensuite.

The existing layout already worked well for our clients, so this project was all about refinement rather than redesign.

We gave the space a contemporary refresh with classic matchboard panelling, finished with character moulding and painted in a colour that complements the rest of the home.

Behind the scenes, we removed unsightly pipework by installing a concealed Geberit UK cistern, creating a cleaner, more streamlined finish. We also repositioned the shower recess to improve the symmetry of the room and provide a practical space for everyday shower essentials.

Sometimes the best renovations aren’t about changing everything. They’re about keeping what works, improving what doesn’t, and paying attention to the details that make a bathroom feel both beautiful and functional.

A simple, timeless update that our clients can enjoy for many years to come.

Two bathrooms. One home. A complete transformation.

Today we’re sharing the main bathroom. The ensuite transformation will follow in our next post.

Our clients had lived in this home for many years and wanted a much-dreamed of refresh. Although the main bathroom was only slightly larger than the average, it offered enough space to completely rethink the layout.

By relocating the toilet and basin onto the main wall, the room immediately felt more open, balanced and functional.

A concealed Geberit UK cistern hidden within a new stud wall removed unsightly pipework, created clean, uninterrupted lines and provided a practical shelf for everyday essentials.

Every design decision was about making the space work harder without increasing its footprint, resulting in a bathroom that feels modern, timeless and built to last.

Keep an eye out for our next post, where we’ll share the matching ensuite transformation.

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… but for good reason.

Over the past few months we’ve been busy transforming kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces for our clients, which has left very little time for posting!

We’ve got plenty of completed projects to share, so over the coming weeks we’ll be catching up and showcasing some of the work we’ve been proud to deliver.

Thank you to all of our clients for keeping us busy and continuing to trust KPD by Design with your homes.

Keep an eye on our page for lots of project photos, design inspiration and before-and-after transformations coming soon.
