Our team has recently completed electrical works as part of the refit of the existing Suit Direct store in Hatfield, on behalf of M2K Services.

Our works included:
- Installation of replacement LED light panels
- Installation of new track and spot lighting
- Additional power supplies and socket outlets
- Power and data installation to new cash desk
- Relocation of the disabled alarm system

Another successful retail refit completed by our engineers, adapting the existing electrical installation to suit the store’s updated layout and requirements.

Last Thursday, Tilly and Amy had the pleasure of attending the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026, where we were honoured to be recognised as one of four finalists in the SME Employer of the Year category for the West Midlands.

While we didn’t take home the award, being recognised at a regional level is a fantastic achievement and a milestone we are incredibly proud of.

At Goodridge Electrical Contractors Ltd, we believe that investing in people is fundamental to building a successful and sustainable business. Supporting apprenticeships, developing skills and providing opportunities for career progression remain at the heart of our commitment to the next generation.

This recognition is a reflection of the collective efforts of our entire team. From those directly mentoring and supporting our apprentices to everyone contributing to the day-to-day success of the business, each individual plays an important role in creating an environment where people can learn, grow and thrive.

⭐Meet Angel Lane⭐

We’re pleased to introduce Angel, who recently joined the Goodridge team as an Electrician.

Since joining us, Angel has been settling into her new role and has quickly become a valued addition to our electrical team. We’re delighted to have her on board as we continue to strengthen and grow our workforce.

Away from work, Angel has a keen interest in dance and enjoys going to the pantomime. She’s also a fan of country music, which is her favourite genre.

We’ve recently donated 16 colourful teddy bears to Sodexo at Hereford Hospital, in support of The Teddy Trust

Alongside many other generous donations, these teddies will be distributed to children aged 2 -15 around the world who have experienced extremely difficult circumstances, including conflict, abuse and hardship.

Something as simple as a teddy bear can provide much needed comfort, companionship and reassurance during challenging times, giving a child something of their own to hold onto.

A big thank you to Sodexo for giving us the opportunity to support a fantastic cause, in partnership with The Teddy Trust UK.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Goodridge Electrical Contractors Ltd has been named a finalist for the Herefordshire Business Awards 2026 run by Herefordshire Means Business

We were delighted to be invited to Bartestree & Lugwardine Cricket Club’s recent Sponsors Day as part of our continued sponsorship of the club.

Although we were gutted that we couldn’t make it on the day, it was great to see our banner proudly displayed at the ground and to hear that the event was a huge success.

We’re pleased to introduce another new addition to the Goodridge team, Caleb Town, who joined us last month as a 2nd Year Apprentice.

Caleb is continuing to develop his knowledge and practical experience within the electrical industry, working alongside our experienced team across a variety of projects. We’re looking forward to supporting him throughout the next stages of his apprenticeship and seeing his skills continue to develop.

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys playing football and going to the gym and is a keen Manchester United supporter. His favourite time of year is Christmas, so he’ll certainly be looking forward to the festive season!

We’re pleased to have completed works at the newly refurbished Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children Cannock Superstore, on behalf of M2K Services Ltd.

Our scope of works included:
• Replacement of high-bay lighting
• Replacement of suspended ceiling lighting panels
• Lighting replacement within fitting rooms
• Installation of additional emergency lighting
• Strip-out of redundant office areas
• New power and data supplies to the cash desk
• Installation of disabled alarms
• CCTV and fire alarm remedial works

A great project to be part of, and thank you to our Project Manager, Karl Myers, for his hard work in delivering another successful project.
