We were delighted to once again support Hereford City Rotary Club and its annual Duck Race, held on Sunday 30th August in the River Wye🦆

By purchasing a duck and taking part in the event, we were pleased to contribute to the valuable fundraising efforts supporting a range of worthwhile charities and good causes. While we may not have come away with a winning duck this year, we are proud to have played a small part in such a fantastic community event.

All money raised is donated in support of charities and good causes, both locally and internationally, including appeals that provide vital assistance to communities affected by major catastrophes.

Supporting our local community is something we are incredibly proud to do, and we are pleased to continue supporting organisations and initiatives that make a positive difference.

We’re delighted to share our latest Employee Recognition nomination, celebrating Wilson Price for his outstanding performance on a recent electrical project in Malvern.

Nominated by Karl Myers, the Project Manager overseeing the project, Wilson was recognised for his leadership, professionalism, communication and commitment throughout the project. Karl shared the following feedback:

“I would like to nominate Wilson for recognition for his outstanding performance whilst managing the electrical works on a project in Malvern. Throughout the project, he maintained excellent communication with me as Project Manager, consistently providing clear updates and proactively addressing any issues.

Wilson delivered work to a high standard, managed apprentices and subcontractors effectively, and maintained a positive, professional attitude throughout. His leadership, commitment and dedication were key contributors to the successful delivery of the project.”

Our team has recently completed the installation of a new access control solution for our client, SSG Contracts Limited, at a school in Birmingham.

The project involved the supply, installation and commissioning of new audio intercom systems for both the vehicle and pedestrian gates, complete with integrated proximity readers, secure fob access and reception handset connectivity. The upgraded system provides a secure, reliable and user-friendly access solution, helping to enhance the safety and security of the school premises.

A big thank you to our Fire, Security & Data Manager, Aaron Deveson, and our Senior Project Manager, Steve Utley, for ensuring the project ran smoothly from start to finish.

Our Managing Director, Steve Goodridge, and Project Manager, Karl Myers, were proud to represent Goodridge Electrical Contractors Ltd at Sodexo's Charity Golf Day, held at Wychwood Park in Crewe.

The event brought together businesses from across the industry to support the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, raising over £20,000 through the generosity and participation of everyone involved.

It was a fantastic day of networking, friendly competition, and, most importantly, fundraising for a truly worthwhile cause. We are delighted to have played a small part in helping to make a positive difference to communities affected by food insecurity.

And while the fundraising was certainly the biggest win of the day, our Managing Director, Steve, also came away with the wooden spoon! 🥄😂 We like to think he was simply making sure no prize was left behind!

A huge thank you to Sodexo for organising such a successful event and giving us the opportunity to be involved. We're already looking forward to next year's event!

Our second charity golf day of the year saw us proudly supporting St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, thanks to the kind invitation from Border Office Supplies & Systems Ltd (BOSS).

Our Managing Director, Steve Goodridge, and FSD Manager, Aaron Deveson, represented the company at the event, which was held at the beautiful Burghill Valley Golf Club🏌️‍♂️⛳️

It was a fantastic day of golf, networking, and fundraising, all in support of the incredible work carried out by St Michael’s Hospice. A huge thank you to BOSS for hosting such a well organised event and for bringing everyone together for such a worthwhile cause.

We are pleased to congratulate Aaron, our Fire, Security & Data Manager, on successfully completing his Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems course.

This qualification further strengthens Aaron's technical expertise and marks an important step as we continue to expand our in-house capabilities. By bringing our fire detection and fire alarm systems service in-house, we are enhancing the level of support we can provide to our clients, delivering greater efficiency, improved responsiveness and the high standards of quality and compliance they expect.
