Completed the Year 5 service on the Vaillant ecoTEC 625 combination boiler.

* Cleaned and serviced the system filter.
* Checked and recharged the expansion vessel to the correct pressure.
* Removed the burner and thoroughly washed through the heat exchanger.
* Replaced the burner gasket.
* Re-pressurised the heating system and carried out final checks.

Boiler serviced and system left operating correctly, ready for the warmer months ahead.

Another successful boiler upgrade completed by Burning Blue Heating & Foley’s Plumbing – Heating & Gas Services.

Today, we removed an old and problematic Vaillant combination boiler and replaced it with a brand-new Glow-worm Energy 25C high-efficiency condensing combination boiler.

As standard, we fitted a range of additional system protection and safety measures, including:

✅ 22mm magnetic Power Filter – helping protect the heating system and improve long-term performance
✅ Shock Arrester – providing additional protection to the water system
✅ In-line Scale Reducer – helping reduce limescale build-up and protect the new boiler

Another boiler upgrade completed by Burning Blue Heating & Foleys Plumbing – Heating & Gas Services.

For this installation, we replaced the customer’s old Baxi boiler with a brand-new Glow-worm Energy 18R high-efficiency condensing boiler, providing improved efficiency, reliability and performance.

We also upgraded the system with:

✅ Drayton Wiser Smart Controls – a great alternative to Hive, giving the customer convenient control of their heating from their smart device.
✅ System Power Filter – helping to protect the heating system from magnetic debris and maintain efficient operation.

Another boiler service completed today

Year 5 service on this Worcester Greenstar 30Si, giving it a thorough clean and check-over ready for the colder months ahead. Also important for the manufacturers Warranty 

Today’s service included:
• Replacement burner seal
• Full strip down and clean
• Heat exchanger washed through using our Titan Mini pressure washer
• System filter cleaned
• Extra MC1 inhibitor added to the system

A good thorough service helps keep the boiler running safely and efficiently, giving the customer peace of mind heading into winter.

Another successful boiler installation completed today.

Working alongside Foleys Plumbing, Heating & Gas Services, we removed an existing problematic Baxi combination boiler and replaced it with a new Glow-worm Energy 25C.

As part of the installation, we also fitted a magnetic power filter and scale reducer to help protect the new boiler and heating system, supporting long-term reliability and performance.

The new Glow-worm boiler comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty, giving the customer complete peace of mind for years to come.

Vaillant ecoTEC plus 838 Combination Boiler – 5th Year Service

Completed the 5th-year boiler service on a Vaillant ecoTEC plus 838 combination boiler.

The boiler was given a full strip-down and clean, including washing through the heat exchanger. A new G10 seal was fitted, the expansion vessel was recharged, and the condensate trap and system filter were thoroughly cleaned.

The radiators were also vented and checked, leaving the heating system ready for the colder months ahead.

All serviced, cleaned and ready for a nice warm winter!

Attended the landlord’s property where there was no room thermostat fitted to the heating system.

The customer requested a simple, reliable and tenant-friendly solution without introducing any complicated controls. We therefore supplied and fitted a Drayton Digistat +RF wireless room thermostat, complete with the required wireless receiver.

The wireless receiver was installed and connected to the heating controls, with the room thermostat positioned in a suitable location within the property. The thermostat and receiver were paired and the system was tested to confirm correct communication and operation.

The thermostat provides straightforward temperature control for the tenant while allowing the heating system to operate automatically to maintain the selected temperature.

Burning Blue Heating teamed up, as always, with Foley’s Plumbing, Heating & Gas Services for another quality install at affordable prices.

The existing boiler had been in place for around 15 years and had developed a problem with the gas valve. After pricing up the repair for the customer, it made much more sense to invest in a brand-new boiler rather than put further money into an ageing appliance.

We installed a new Glow-worm Energy 18R, including:

✅ Full commissioning and testing

A simple check that could save a life.
During every boiler service, we always check your carbon monoxide (CO) alarm to make sure it’s present, working, and within its expiry date. As this photo shows, CO alarms don’t last forever and should be replaced this one run out in 2018 the Customer had no idea it had expired.

Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless gas, making a working alarm an essential part of keeping your home safe.

Boiler: Vaillant EcoTEC

A full annual service was carried out on the boiler, including a complete strip-down and thorough clean of the main components.

The heat exchanger was flushed through using our high-powered handheld pressure washer to ensure any debris and deposits were fully cleared, helping to maintain efficient performance. A new burner gasket was fitted during reassembly to ensure a safe and reliable seal.

The expansion vessel was checked and recharged to the correct pressure, restoring its ability to accommodate system expansion and helping to prevent unnecessary pressure fluctuations.

The system filter was also cleaned out, removing any collected sludge and magnetic debris to improve water circulation and protect the heating system.

As this is one of our more senior customers, we also carried out a full check of the heating system to ensure everything is operating correctly and is ready to provide reliable, comfortable heating throughout the winter months.
