I think I'm going to stop posting on Facebook for a while.
Sometimes it feels like a big waste of time, they encourage you to create unique content, pictures,etc but only a tiny percentage of people actually see it unless you pay to boost things with a paid advert.
I guess it's a bit of a dinosaur now and I should probably focus my efforts elsewhere.

I've not decided if this is a good idea or kinda cheeky, but I've created it anyway.

Uprated sliding door rollers for this aluminium patio door.
The bearings in the old one had collapsed leaving the rear half of the door dragging along the track and literally hanging out of the top of the frame, ready to flatten the owner when it fell out.
I replaced the old cast ones with a set of steel double castors to help spread the weight of the door more evenly.

I've spent a bit of time this week trying to find and update all of my online listings with my new address.

It's surprising how many have been submitted over the past sixteen years, some of which I don't even remember doing.

I'd like to think I have another sixteen years left in me!

A shiny chrome nightlatch replacement for this cottage door. It was an older design that's no longer available but I managed to find a like for like replacement from one of my suppliers that had one hiding in the dust at the back of their storeroom.
I'll always do my best to get my customers what they want.

This is what a failing UPVC door mechanism looks like.
When lifting or pulling the handle you'll notice that the hooks and bolts do not fully retract. At this point it's probably a good idea to avoid trying to lock the door into the frame as there's a good chance it won't open again. It will need a replacement gearbox or full mechanism depending on the brand of lock.
If this looks familiar, give me a call for a quote on a repair or replacement. Sending over a few pictures via whatsapp always helps identify the lock.
