A slightly unpopular opinion about Self Assessment…
You probably don’t need another Facebook post telling you to “take the stress out of your tax”.
What you probably do want to know is:
“How much tax am I actually going to have to pay?”
“Have I done this right?”
“What expenses can I claim?”
“Do I even need to do a tax return?”
“And what on earth is Making Tax Digital all about?”
These are the questions I get asked all the time, and honestly, there are no silly questions when it comes to tax. The rules can be really confusing.
I’m currently taking on some new clients for Self Assessment and MTD support, so if you’re self-employed, a freelancer, landlord or running a small business and you’re not quite sure where you stand, feel free to get in touch.
