Scaling a national rollout sounds exciting…
So, what’s the reality?
Often it comes down to hundreds of small technical decisions being made quickly and precisely.
Before a new gym can open, there are questions that need to be answered, such as:
- Can the structure support the equipment loads?
- Is the drainage infrastructure sufficient?
- Will acoustic issues affect neighbouring occupiers?
- Can the layout actually operate efficiently day to day?
The PureGym programme had 42 potential locations that were assessed over an eight-month period to support their expansion plans.
That meant coordinating surveys and technical reviews across multiple locations simultaneously – while keeping pace with a commercial acquisition programme that couldn't wait for slow decisions.
Because successful expansion isn’t just about finding buildings.
It’s about identifying which sites are genuinely deliverable before significant investment is made.
