the works and what is to happen to the arisings. Personnel

Our staff are all trained and qualified to a high standard. All have National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) certificates for chainsaw use and Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS ) cards for working on building sites. Key members of staff hold the Arboricultural Association Professional Member status of M.Arbor.A. We have always expected high standards of skill and commitment from our staff and believe they are a vital asset to the company. With this in mind we have regular training sessions to maintain high standards and ensure that our staff provide a modern and safe arboricultural service. All personnel are qualified to carry out arboricultural works to British Standard 3998:2010 and we carry full public liability insurance. We believe our personnel are the best in their field and we ensure that everyone is fully competent to work to the quality level and specifications demanded by the job they do. Health and Safety

We have a comprehensive Health and Safety system in place and carry out risk assessments on all projects. Method statements are provided where neccessary to run in conjunction with the Risk Assessments and highlight any difficulties that may be encountered. The Environment

We ensure our services are at minimal cost to the environment by the use of biodegradable oil in our chainsaws, our waste disposal techniques ensure that we recycle the maximum amount of debris from our work. We inspect sites prior to carrying out work to ensure we do not destroy nesting bird sites or bat roosts and have a minimum impact on other habitats. As part of our recycling, all of our waste products are used in biomass fuel

He’s on record now as our oldest ever climber, it goes to show the skill, fitness and dedication of him to still be preforming his craft at such a high level with the same enthusiasm

40 is just a number and he’s still got a little way to go to catch up with Alan Henderson who was our oldest ever employee when he retired from us at the ripe old age of 67

Here at OTS, we have been supporting grassroots football for over 25 years.
Our journey began in 2000 with a food hamper donation to the end of season presentation awards ceremony at Grange Villa FC this then followed in a regular theme over the next decade with similar support to Oxhill Central FC.
From this we then became shirt sponsors of Stanley FC as well as covering youth football shirt sponsorship for Beamish Lionesses, Willington Youth and Brandon Community FC. Where we still maintain strong links and sponsorship with the former 2 teams.
This brings us to the start of the 2026/2027 season, and we are delighted to announce we are the home strip sponsors for Annfield Plain CCFC.
A new side starting off their life in the Consett and District Sunday League, where we wish the team good luck for there debut season.
